Andrew & Kelly
Sultry Woodland & Moss Vibes

Andrew & Kelly got married at the end of April at the intimate Butternut Tree Restaurant with their closest family and friends. I came to know and adore Andrew and Kelly after my dear friend and industry colleague, Jordon Hon of Be My Guest Photography, referred them to me and I am so grateful that he did. Creating floral concepts and art for couples like Andrew & Kelly is truly a gift. Their demonstration of truly loving one another with respect, admiration and commitment inspires what marriage is really about and proves that love is a verb.

Andrew & Kelly started as friends while volunteering together and quickly and unexpectedly fell in love with each other. In my consultation form, I knew I immediately wanted to work with this couple because of how they shared their story of their relationship. There were three paragraphs that they shared about their story as a couple. One was a general overview of how they met and the milestones they’d gone through together over five years. The second was Kelly’s favorite qualities about Andrew and the third was Andrew’s favorite qualities about Kelly. As they continue to journey together, the thing I appreciate the most about them is how they embrace each other’s differences and in the face of agreeing to disagree, they will always choose to laugh together.

Creating these table scapes using drift wood, live moss, and a plethora of local foliage and plants were the perfect way to show Andrew & Kelly’s personality. Incorporating orchids and ferns were an important element as orchids are Andrew’s favorite flower and he had grown up with ferns in his family home. Incorporating tweedia (as a substitute for Eidelweiss) and yellow spray roses honored Kelly’s late grandmother. Since they had a civil ceremony at home with family, they wanted the florals and organic scapes at the restaurant to both wow their guests and make them feel at home with them.
